I don't want to sound too nerdy but it would be SO nice if ticked off items would shoot down to the bottom of the current list. Strong request to keep this app magic-free :-) I think the simplicity of NotePlan (simple text files, one per day, markdown users can control, no magic updating of data, etc) is one of its strongest features. I think it's a terrible idea :-) I think it's really important to consciously copy/paste items to your task list each day, otherwise you don't engage with them and don't put proper thought into what you want to achieve. Someone mentioned "automatically moving tasks to the next day", I've also had this request many times from users of my own task management apps. As I'm working down my huge task list I find it quiet satisfying to see the number decrease! I'm sure you've addressed this elsewhere, but I don't understand why (in the calendar view) you don't show a task count. in most apps Edit > Spelling and Grammar > Correct Spelling Automatically Someone else mentioned auto-correct, yes please enable this, it's one of the great features of macOS and I think is available by default, i.e. When ticking the star (or dash) of a GFM "* " there is a rendering problem, see Definitely all coders are used to GFM's "* ", and by the way the same format is used in DayOne and Bear, which probably makes up 90% of Mac note-taking market. Since you told me about the tab trick I will use this in the meanwhile to "hide" a task's visibility, but I think joewiz' suggestion is a great idea. I agree there are many times you need to write a few notes around a task, and don't want them to show up as new tasks. I totally echo what joewiz said below, "What about using GFM's * as a todo, meaning that * can indicate a plain old list". Some small feedback after a few days of use: Hi Eduard, congrats on your great NotePlan app! It was quite hard to find, I think on page 3 of google results for a very specific query, hope it soon gets the higher profile it deserves. Could be in the preferences to swap it, if required. One way could be use * for todo and - for list. Will think more about other possible solutions. Then the calendar will ignore it (except you have enabled it in the preferences). One way to work around is right now to indent a todo (with tab). Everything, which stands for a list is picked up in the calendar view. * would break a little with the current system (means suddenly everything is not considered to be a todo) and is harder to type. Once we are through the rough beta features and fixed, Ill spend some more time on macOS.Ĭutting and pasting: Where and how does it happen? I couldnt reproduce it on macOS/iOS till now. On iOS you can do it already with press & hold on a task, then drag it, once it shows its seleced. Moving up/down: thats quite high on the roadmap for macOS. Though its supported right now, but as you say not the default, when pressing the button in the UI like on iOS. Yes, this could be added to the preferences.

We’re still trying to figure out what ’90s game designers had against trees. Bad Omen‘s also one of several ’90s games that feature a killer tree as an area guardian. A few technical flaws and design choices knock it back a little (such as the annoying bit where you have to fight your way to an exit after destroying a boss – die and you have to fight the boss again) but it remains a novel, overlooked title. The horror-themed graphics add atmosphere, but it’s the speed and variety of the action that makes Bad Omensuch an entertaining game. ![]() With a bit of practice, the system quickly becomes second nature, and as the action progresses up the screen, Bad Omenbegins to more closely resemble a scrolling shooter than something like Arkanoid – there are enemies to destroy, obstacles to avoid, and area bosses to take out.įurther Reading: 25 Underrated SNES Games It gives the player two paddles to control instead of one – the first only able to move left and right, the other able to move forward and back as well as from side to side. Bad Omen/Devilishīat-and-ball games were already looking antiquated by the early ’90s, but Bad Omen brought some really fresh ideas to the aging format. Although not the most original or strategic shooter on the Genesis, Crying is at least one of the most unusual-looking and technically impressive. What’s most notable about Crying, though, is just how fast and smooth it is every level offers a constant onslaught of enemies and bullets that swoop and pulsate across the screen in hypnotic and slightly eerie fashion. A gaudy relic from a bygone age, ToeJam & Earl still has lots to offer, particularly when played with a friend. It’s an example of the game’s weird, inventive sense of humor, which extends to an ingenious two-player mode where the screen only splits in half when players head off in different directions. Obstacles include ice-cream vans and violent chickens, while the aliens’ only available response is to knock them out with tomatoes. Essentially a top-down dungeon crawler, it sees a pair of ungainly aliens (the ToeJam and Earl of the title) hunting a surreal landscape for the missing parts of their spaceship. Quite possibly the most ’90s game ever made, with its backward hats, chunky sneakers, and other period fashion accessories, ToeJam & Earlremains a delightful curio. The range of power-ups and things to collect keeps things interesting (the crocodile hero appears to have a worrying addiction to fruit machines), and some of the monsters are endearingly strange. While the single-screen, trap-the-monsters action may have seemed old hat at a time when Sonic was tearing through levels like lightning, Wani Wani World has aged quite well. At any rate, the resulting game is a bright, breezy bit of fun. Was Kaneko inspired by the success of Sonic the Hedgehogand intent on creating an “animal with attitude” character of its own? Quite possibly. Later ported to the Sega Game Gear by Kaneko itself, Berlin Wall was mysteriously altered for the Genesis, where it was given a new title and an entirely different central character – a crocodile (“wani” being the Japanese word for crocodile). ![]() In 1991, Japanese studio Kaneko created an arcade game called The Berlin Wall – a revival of the old Space Panicgame with better graphics, end-of-world bosses, and lots of power-ups. ![]() If you’re into collecting things, the box looks great, too. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu mythos (yes, really).Įl Viento may desperately want to be a Castlevaniabeater, but it’s more akin to a ’90s straight-to-video movie, which oddly enough, is actually a recommendation. The Trebuchet, despite its relatively narrow torso and slim legs, is another oversized 'Mech. This another 'Mech which is as rare as a unicorn and for a good reason. Lastly, if you have any suggestions, feedback or you’ve found grave grammar errors (English is not my first language after all) feel free to send them to or leave them as a comment on my blog. Even if you’re an experienced player with your own routines about disposing of opponents, it might still be interesting to read about how others do it. I also understand that not everyone has the chance to collect as many ‘Mechs as I could, so I’m hoping this guide will be useful for those people. I’m also lucky enough to own almost every ‘Mech in the game (C-Bill releases) and a good amount of hours clocked in with every chassis and variant. I decided to create this guide because as I bought more and more ‘Mechs and played with them, I realized that only after playing with one you truly experience the advantages and drawbacks of a chassis. After reading this guide, you will have a general understanding of the capabilities of each opponent you face and you will have an idea where to put your damage depending on the circumstances. While doing so, I’ll give you as much relevant info about the ‘Mech as possible such as their threat levels, expected builds, its advantages and problems. In this guide, I will talk about the art of killing your opponents and the weak spots of your opponents. This is indeed the best weapon of the skilled players and one of the best parts of this game killing stuff takes time and therefore knowledge and consistency is rewarded over "who shot first". If you don't aim for their weak spots, experienced opponents might even turn tables completely by working on your weak components instead. While 'Mechs eventually go down if you just aim for the center mass and just keep pumping damage, being inefficient with your damage also means your enemy will have more time to retaliate and damage you. Being efficient with your damage is an invaluable skill in MWO.
